The end

We spend the last night of this trip in Mt. Shasta where we found a great Japanese restaurant and a chef with such creations as ceviche and lime sushi. It was all excellent and our first Japanese food since leaving home. The fireworks program at the nearby country club met Jerry and Ben Franklin’s needs for a proper Fourth of July celebration.

Our trip was wonderful. We saw great beauty in our country by following two lane roads through canyons, along side farms and ranch land and through small towns. It was a classic example of the benefits of leaving the Interstate.

A travel writer for the South Florida Sun Sentinel summed up our experiences well

“...a road trip to Oregon is just as enjoyable as a vacation to Italy. For it involves the same fundamental gift; a journey out of the house, to another place, one with a different landscape, culture, way of doing things...It’s not really important where we go but that we go, marveling every step of the way.”

We have been fortunate to travel this marvelous land and have more pictures and stories to share with any of you who care to come on over. We are also looking forward to your traveling with us in the fall when we do another RV caravan in the New Mexico area. Thank you for traveling with us.
